This one is for the SCRAP and CHAT SNC Weekend Blitz. My Dad was 6'4" and my mom is just 5' tall, made for a pretty funny looking couple.

This one is for the CSI Color Challenge, Red and Yellow are my favorite color combination.

Journaling reads: My 8th Birthday

I remember this day, it was my first birthday in the USA, mom was so happy to be able to buy everything without limitations (other than our "budget"). In Cuba she would have to stand in lines for days just to get the cake, sodas, food and just be able to get what was given to her, there were rations and once you met them that was it. So needless to say she went a little crazy. We had a lot of family and friends. My Dad did his usual gig (He was a singer). As you can see I got lot't of present, mom always laid them on the bed and we always took pictures, we did this for a long time. I still do it with the girls. Birthdays at Mima's are still the best.

Mother's Love

This is for CSI challenge #10. the journaling reads.

Forty-Something and starting over. What a wonderful surprise. I feel young again, have learned patience I enjoy playing make believe, always on the go, no time for pain or feeling old. Fifty is just a number. I love being a mom at any age.

I used for the Evidence:

1. Fabric (The green strip of circles cut out of a Websters Page fabric.

2. Metal (Lots and lots of it including the title)

3. Create Light. I used the lighter cardstock as a background for the dark photo, makes is a little lighter.

Journaling Details:

1. Documented a little story about being a mom and starting over.

2. used the word Hope.
